House Democrats, Republicans Sign Resolution Condemning Biden’s Border Crisis

More than 10 House Democrats recently sided with Republicans in a resolution condemning the Biden administration’s lax border policies that have allowed millions of illegal immigrants to pour across the southern border.

The bipartisan resolution “condemns the national security and public safety crisis that President Joe Biden, ‘Border Czar’ Vice President Kamala Harris, Secretary of the Department of Homeland Security Alejandro Mayorkas, and other Biden administration officials have created along the southwest border.”

The measure passed by a vote of 225-187, with 211 Republicans voting in the affirmative and 14 Democrats joining them.

The Democrats that sided with Republicans in denouncing Biden’s refusal to secure the southern border include Reps. Colin Allred (D-TX), Yadira Caraveo (D-CO), Angie Craig (D-MN), Henry Cuellar (D-TX), Donald Davis (D-NC), Jared Golden (D-ME), Vicente Gonzalez (D-TX), Greg Landsman (D-OH), Susie Lee (D-NV) and Jared Moskowitz (D-FL), among several others.

In a statement, Golden emphasized the need for the southern border to be sure, calling illegal immigration a “threat” that the federal government must address.

“Most of us understand that nations need borders, those borders should be secured, and we should enforce the immigration laws on the books. Most of us also understand that those seeking entry to our country deserve an orderly and predictable immigration process. Right now we have problems on both fronts,” Golden said.

“Illegal immigration threatens our national security and undermines American jobs. It’s time for Congress and the Biden administration to come together and pass legislation to meaningfully address issues at the border. It should be a top priority in Washington, just like it is in most of America,” the Maine congressman added.

The president’s ineffective border policies have caused mass-scale illegal immigration across the U.S., jeopardizing the lives of Americans. Over 100,000 Americans have died at the hands of notorious drug cartels, who have imported fentanyl into the U.S. in record numbers, given Biden’s refusal to tackle the issue.

Illegal immigration has become so out of control that states across America, such as Texas, California, Michigan, Illinois, and New York, have been forced to combat the crisis.

For example, in New York City, more than 100,000 unlawful migrants have made their way to the Big Apple since the summer of 2022, forcing New York City Mayor Eric Adams (D) to call out Biden, whom he supported in the 2020 presidential election, over the issue.
