FBI Launches Crackdown On Swatting Targeting Conservative Media Figures

FBI Director Kash Patel has announced federal action against the growing number of swatting incidents affecting conservative media personalities. Patel posted a statement on X on March 14, warning that the FBI is actively investigating and coordinating with local authorities to identify those responsible.

According to Gateway Pundit, conservative commentator Gunther Eagleman was among those swatted in recent days. His brother, Mike Engleman, was also targeted, with hoax calls reporting fabricated hostage situations at their homes. Eagleman credited local law enforcement for handling the situation calmly, preventing what could have been a dangerous confrontation.

The Daily Mail reported that conservative radio host Joe Pagliarulo, known as Joe Pags, was another victim of swatting. He shared security footage showing armed law enforcement outside his home in response to a false emergency call. Pags later confirmed he had reached out directly to Patel, urging an FBI response to the wave of politically motivated attacks.

Meanwhile, The Post Millennial detailed the case of InfoWars host Chase Geiser, who was targeted twice in a single night. The outlet reported that Geiser was handcuffed outside his home after police received a false report claiming he had threatened his family. Authorities later verified the call was fraudulent.

Patel’s statement made it clear that the FBI considers these incidents serious threats. “Weaponizing law enforcement against ANY American is not only morally reprehensible but also endangers lives, including those of our officers,” he said.

The FBI’s involvement signals that the federal government is ramping up efforts to hold perpetrators accountable. Patel’s statement ended with a promise for further updates as investigations continue.
