USAID Leadership Cut Off As Trump’s DOGE Secures Headquarters In Deep State Crackdown

President Donald Trump’s Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE), led by Elon Musk, has executed a sweeping takeover of the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID), locking out top officials and sealing off the agency’s headquarters. The move has left entrenched bureaucrats unable to access internal systems, halting operations entirely.

DOGE agents gained control over USAID’s financial systems and classified files after a tense standoff with agency leadership. Two high-ranking security officials, including Director of Security John Voorhees, were placed on leave after attempting to block access. More than 600 employees were locked out of their workstations overnight, while by morning, yellow police tape surrounded the headquarters, preventing any attempt to regain control.

Musk took to X to confirm that Trump had personally reviewed DOGE’s findings and agreed that USAID should be shut down. A White House statement blasted the agency’s history of unaccountable spending, revealing that taxpayer money had been funneled into DEI initiatives, electric vehicle projects, and global LGBTQ outreach rather than direct humanitarian aid.

Financial records have also revealed troubling connections between USAID and Burisma, the Ukrainian energy company tied to Hunter Biden. Reports further indicate that USAID funds were used to support legal efforts against Trump, raising questions about whether the agency was operating as a political weapon rather than a neutral aid organization.

Democrats and federal worker unions have responded with lawsuits against DOGE and Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent, claiming that financial and personnel records were accessed without authorization. Senate Democrats have demanded that Secretary of State Marco Rubio explain how DOGE managed to bypass USAID leadership and seize control of its operations.

USAID’s website has been taken offline, and there are reports that the agency could be absorbed into the State Department. With leadership locked out and funding frozen, USAID’s future remains uncertain as Trump’s push to dismantle Washington’s entrenched bureaucracy moves full speed ahead.
