Trump Holds Narrow Lead Over Harris In Pennsylvania Poll Ahead Of Key Campaign Stops

As the 2024 election intensifies, a new poll shows President Donald Trump leading Vice President Kamala Harris by a slim margin in Pennsylvania, a state expected to be fiercely contested in November. The Insider Advantage poll, conducted between August 18 and 19, reveals Trump with 47% support compared to Harris’s 46%, within a margin of error of ±3.5%.

The poll’s release comes just before both campaigns ramp up their efforts in the Keystone State. Pennsylvania, with its 19 electoral votes, has consistently been a key battleground in presidential elections. Trump won the state in 2016 but lost it to Joe Biden in 2020. This year, it is once again a major focus as the campaigns seek to sway undecided voters.

Trump’s campaign is aggressively targeting Harris on her record over the last four years, focusing on what they describe as failed economic and energy policies. According to a Trump campaign official, “The Trump campaign is going full bore against the Kamala campaign and highlighting all the disastrous policies she implemented for the last four years.”

Both Trump and his running mate, Sen. J.D. Vance (R-OH), are scheduled to visit Pennsylvania this week as part of their strategy to win over voters. Trump is set to tour a manufacturing plant in York, while Vance will visit a facility in Philadelphia, both events aimed at drawing a contrast with Harris on job creation and energy independence.

As both campaigns zero in on Pennsylvania, the poll’s tight numbers reflect how crucial the state will be in deciding the outcome of the 2024 election. With both sides preparing major efforts to sway voters, Pennsylvania could once again be the state that tips the scales in November.
