Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton Sues Biden-Harris Over Voter Roll Discrepancies

Ken Paxton, the Attorney General of Texas, has launched a lawsuit against the Biden-Harris Administration, accusing them of failing to verify the citizenship status of approximately 450,000 voters. The lawsuit stems from a formal request Paxton made on October 7, asking the federal government to confirm whether these individuals are eligible to vote in Texas.

Federal law requires the government to help states verify the citizenship of registered voters, especially those who did not provide state-issued identification. However, according to Paxton, the administration has refused to comply with this requirement, leaving Texas without the necessary information.

Paxton argues that this verification is critical to ensuring the integrity of elections in Texas. He said, “The Biden-Harris Administration has refused to comply with federal law, presenting yet another obstacle for Texas to overcome in ensuring free and fair elections in our state.”

The Texas Secretary of State has joined the lawsuit, which calls for the federal government to meet its legal obligations.
