House Republicans Expel One Of Their Own From Congress

Instead of going after Democrats such as President Joe Biden and Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas, whose lax border policies have comprised the safety of all Americans, House Republicans recently decided to expel one of their own in former Rep. George Santos (R-NY).

Santos was recently expelled amid a criminal investigation that accused him of committing ethical misconduct. His oust from Congress marks the sixth time in U.S. history that a federal lawmaker has been expelled.

Among some of the accusations against Santos was that he illegally used campaign funds for personal use and lied about his educational career and ethnicity, among other things. The former New York congressman, who has not been convicted on such allegations, has pleaded “not guilty.” Santos’ criminal trial is set for September 2024.

The House Ethics Committee reported that Santos had used his campaign funds for things such as Botox and an OnlyFans account.

What’s interesting about Santos’ alleged actions is that many other politicians in Washington, D.C., have done the same.

Several Republicans and Democrats in Congress have illegally obtained money from foreign sources such as China, America’s greatest adversary. Nonetheless, Republicans focused on going after one of their own before he was proven guilty, further narrowing their majority in the House.

House Republicans had an opportunity to investigate the illegal actions committed by Rep. Jamall Bowman (D-NY) who illegally pulled the fire alarm in the Capitol to delay voting on the House floor.

Other individuals like Reps. Rashida Tlaib (D-MI) and Adam Schiff (D-CA) have committed great crimes during their congressional tenures.

In Tlaib’s case, the Michigan congresswoman refused to denounce the barbarism of Hamas. This terrorist organization has murdered thousands of innocent Israelis and Americans in the wake of its Oct. 7, 2023, invasion of Israel.

Likewise, Schiff repeatedly lied to the American people about former President Donald Trump’s so-called relationship with the Russian government, which has been debunked.

The California congressman looked the American people in the eye, telling them he had evidence against Trump showing his collusion with the Russians in 2016 to “steal” the presidential election from former U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton. To date, such evidence has never been provided.
