Former Maryland Governor Sounds Alarm Over Drone Swarms, Demands Accountability

Former Maryland Gov. Larry Hogan has voiced his concerns over mysterious drones appearing in the skies above his home, joining a growing number of Americans frustrated by the federal government’s lack of transparency on the issue.

Hogan shared footage on social media Friday, claiming he observed “dozens of large drones” flying over his residence in Davidsonville, Maryland. The former governor described the incident as unsettling, particularly given the location’s proximity to Washington, D.C. “I personally witnessed (and videoed) what appeared to be dozens of large drones… I observed the activity for approximately 45 minutes,” Hogan wrote on X.

The surge in drone sightings began in mid-November, with residents in New Jersey and Connecticut reporting frequent and unexplained drone activity. Despite these accounts, the Biden administration appears unconcerned. White House National Security Communications Adviser John Kirby dismissed the reports Thursday, suggesting residents are mistaking aircraft lights for drones.

Hogan, however, finds this explanation insufficient. “People are rightfully clamoring for answers, but aren’t getting any. We are being told that neither the White House, the military, the FBI, or Homeland Security have any idea what they are, where they came from, or who has launched or is controlling them — and that they pose no threat,” he said.

His criticism echoes sentiments from communities along the Eastern Seaboard, where concerns over drone swarms have persisted for years. Last year, drones reportedly swarmed Langley Air Force Base in Virginia for 17 straight nights, according to reports. Witnesses, including Air Force Gen. Mark Kelly, described the drones as massive and fast-moving, reaching altitudes of up to 4,000 feet before heading toward Naval Station Norfolk.

Hogan concluded his statement with a call to action, urging the federal government to provide clarity. “The American people deserve answers and action now,” he said, emphasizing the growing public frustration over the government’s dismissive approach.

The mystery remains, leaving Americans to question whether their safety and security are at risk.
