Huntley explained that the fire started in her bedroom, where a Quantum Fiber router was located. She had experienced issues with the device for months, with technicians visiting her home multiple times to address unreliable internet service. The router had been replaced two months before the fire, but problems persisted.
The fire spread rapidly, consuming the entire home. Huntley’s footage shows charred walls, a bed reduced to metal springs, and debris scattered across every room. “We literally lost everything,” Huntley said, describing the destruction.
Compounding the loss, Huntley admitted she did not have renters insurance, leaving her unable to recover her family’s belongings. “I have to live with that guilt now that my kids don’t have a home,” she said tearfully.
