Building America’s Future (BAF), a conservative non-profit organization, has initiated a significant media campaign targeting President Joe Biden’s border policies. The campaign, named “Again,” aims to shed light on the dangers of what the group describes as Biden’s “open border” approach.
The campaign features a poignant 60-second advertisement focusing on the tragic case of Rachel Morin, a Maryland mother of five. Morin was allegedly raped and murdered by Victor Antonio Martinez-Hernandez, an illegal immigrant from El Salvador who was arrested last week. The advertisement is set to air from June 26 to June 28, coinciding with the presidential debate between Biden and former President Donald Trump. It has also been shared on social media with the hashtag “Say Her Name.”
BAF’s ad is a follow-up to their previous ad titled “Run,” which highlighted the story of Laken Riley, another victim killed by an illegal immigrant while jogging. This ad gained notable attention when CNN refused to broadcast it during Biden’s State of the Union address, making it go viral.
The current ad emphasizes a troubling message: “It just keeps happening … Laken Riley wasn’t the first. And in Joe Biden’s America, sadly, she won’t be the last.” It presents various news clips about Morin’s murder, underscoring the allegation that Martinez-Hernandez, who was wanted for murder, was able to enter the U.S. due to Biden’s border policies.
The ad concludes with a stark message: “Rachel Morin. Laken Riley. And countless others. They should be alive. Joe Biden’s open border — a nightmare for American women.” This campaign will run in seven pivotal battleground states, including Arizona, Georgia, Michigan, Nevada, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, and Wisconsin. It will also feature billboards and 2D projections in metropolitan areas such as Atlanta, Greensboro, and Philadelphia.
In a personal touch, former President Trump recently called Patty Morin, Rachel Morin’s mother, to express his condolences. This act of compassion was notably absent from the Biden administration, which had not reached out to the Morin family following the arrest of Martinez-Hernandez.
Patty Morin expressed her appreciation for Trump’s outreach, stating to The New York Post, “I am deeply touched by President Trump’s kindness and concern. He was genuine and truly wanted to know how our family was coping. He asked about Rachel and showed honest compassion for her untimely death. His words brought comfort to me during this very difficult time.”
