Border Bill Would Allow 8,500 Illegal Migrants Every Day

When the narrative strays from Democratic talking points, leftists like to smear the truth as an “internet rumor.” But the facts are coming out about the so-called “bipartisan” border bill and claims that it would allow no more than 5,000 illegal migrants into the country per day.

As if that’s not too many.

One of the bill’s supporters, Sen. James Lankford (R-OK), asserted that accusations to the contrary are merely online chatter. He told “Fox News Sunday” on Jan. 28 that “It’s all that people are running. It would be absolutely absurd for me to agree to 5,000 people per day.”

Sen. Mike Rounds (R-SD) even made the ridiculous assertion that reports of the bill leaving the border open for a continued invasion are nothing more than Russian disinformation. And these are Republicans.

But now that the language of the contentious bill has been released, those rumors are confirmed as not nearly as dire as the truth.

The details show that as many as 8,500 illegal migrants could cross the border every single day before a declaration of emergency would be triggered.

The devil is in the details, as House Speaker Mike Johnson (R-LA) acknowledged. When the text was released on Sunday night, he quickly proclaimed the measure was “even worse than we expected.”

Expectations among House Republicans certainly could not have been very high.

Johnson further declared that the monstrosity is “dead on arrival” if it even makes it to the House. And for good reason. There is a scant $20 billion tabbed for border security, which is what the White House is trumpeting.

Meanwhile, there’s nearly $60 billion for Ukraine, $14.1 billion for Israel, and more earmarked for Indo-Pacific nations.

The clear goal of the Biden administration is to address what is near the top of voter concerns — the illegal migrant crisis. But the White House does not want to fix the problem and secure the southern border from the millions pouring through.

Instead, it wants to apply a very public bandaid and decorate the issue with window dressing. In that way, the Democrat may tell voters that he came through on the dilemma that could well decide the fate of the nation.

All the while, he will invite the invasion to continue unabated. Biden’s party understands that they are lining up what they believe is the future political base for Democrats.

Meanwhile, the obvious damage to the U.S. is not even the faintest concern.
