President Biden’s approval rating has reached an all-time low, the worst figure in nearly 15 years, as he trails former President Donald Trump in the 2024 presidential matchup.
According to a new ABC poll released on Sunday, President Biden’s approval rating sits at 33%, whereas 58% of voters disapprove of the current president. The poll, comprising approximately 2,000 adults, shows a whopping gap only ten months before the 2024 presidential election.

Additionally, only 18% approve of how President Biden handles the situation at the southern border. According to ABC News, this is the lowest approval on immigration for any U.S. president featured on an ABC poll.
Regarding the economy, only 13% of Americans say they are financially better off since President Biden took office. In contrast, 43% of Americans say they are doing worse financially. President Biden, the leading GOP nominee for president, has a lower approval rating than former President Donald Trump.
As the Iowa caucuses begin, the poll finds Trump well-rated by Republicans in three areas: best chance to win in November, being a strong leader, and being the Republican Party’s most-qualified presidential candidate.
Former President Trump is also ahead of his Republican opponents by less of a margin in two other areas: understanding the problems of the American people and shared values.
As a reflection of his poor ratings regarding the economy and immigration, fewer Democrats are satisfied with their nominee, in comparison to Donald Trump on the Republican side.
Concerning electability and leadership, sixty-eight percent of Republicans say former President Donald Trump is the candidate with the best chance of getting elected in the 2024 presidential election.
Trump pulled ahead of President Biden when asked whether the two presidential candidates had the mental sharpness to serve effectively and whether they were in good physical health to serve effectively.
Approximately 30% of Americans approve of President Biden’s handling of the Israel-Hamas war, while 50% disapprove. The poll also noted that 30% have zero opinion on the topic.
President Biden’s campaign has stressed to voters not to focus too much on polls early during election season; however, with record-hitting lows, his campaign should be worried.
