Bannon Claims Zuckerberg’s Trump Donation Won’t Shield Him From Investigation

“We’re not going to let people like you call the shots,” Steve Bannon declared during his “War Room” broadcast, rejecting Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg’s recent attempts at political reconciliation through a million-dollar donation to Donald Trump’s inauguration fund.

The former White House Chief Strategist, speaking after his release from federal prison where he was held for refusing to cooperate with the January 6 show trials, dismissed the donation’s significance. “Your million dollars as a supplicant at Mar-a-Lago’s not going to mean anything,” he stated.

During his broadcast, Bannon expressed his belief that criminal charges await the tech executive. “I believe that you will be charged with crimes, sir,” he declared, referencing what he claimed was a $450 million contribution related to election integrity.

The America-first advocate particularly targeted Zuckerberg’s recent public image efforts. “You wanna talk about a despicable human being? It’s Zuckerberg. You can take all the martial arts classes you want … you’re another man-child,” Bannon proclaimed.

Speaking about tech industry leadership during the pandemic, Bannon emphasized his opposition. “We saw what nerd rule was during the pandemic. And, guess what: this country does not want nerd rule and we’re not going back to it,” he stated.

Concluding his remarks, Bannon addressed what he described as widespread antipathy toward Zuckerberg among Trump supporters: “Remember, the base hates you, despises you; you’re revolting … for what you did to this country.”
