Homeland Security Frees Laken Riley’s Killer To Kill Again

The illegal immigrant accused of brutally murdering 22-year-old nursing student Laken Riley has now been released from custody. Alleged killer Jose Ibarra reportedly killed the young American girl while she was jogging on the University of Georgia campus on Feb. 22.

This case has led to national outrage over the direct impacts to U.S. citizens over President Joe Biden’s ongoing border crisis.

Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-SC) has accused the Biden White House of illegally paroling Ibarra into the U.S. and essentially calling the young woman’s death.

Graham says Ibarra didn’t meet the legal criteria of offering a significant benefit to the country or having a humanitarian need. The decision to release Ibarra after the murder has sparked major backlash and raised questions about the administration’s priorities regarding public safety.

A year after being set free by Border Patrol, Ibarra was arrested by NYPD for injuring a child, and later moved to Athens to reportedly be closer to his brother before allegedly committing the murder that has captured national attention.

The details of the murder are chilling. Police say Ibarra “disfigured” Riley’s skull with an unidentified object. He then moved her body to a secluded spot near the jogging trail. Riley’s roommate reported her missing, leading to the discovery of her body and Ibarra’s arrest.

And Ibarra is free. He’s inside the United States. Not only is this a complete insult to the family of Laken Riley and to the idea of justice in general, but there are obvious concerns about a government that would allow such a brutal murderer to be let loose within U.S. borders to further victimize young Americans like Laken.
