The “independent” special counsel appointed by Biden administration Attorney General Merrick Garland to oversee the Department of Justice (DOJ) investigation into President Donald Trump is married to a donor to and business advocate for the Biden and Obama families.
Special Counsel Jack Smith is married to Katy Chevigny and her political activities could lead to serious questions about Smith’s perceived and actual bias in his mission to determine whether President Trump violated the law in relation to the aftermath of the 2020 presidential election.
You just can’t make this stuff up.
Katy Chevigny, wife of Jack Smith—the special counsel appointed by DOJ to go after President Trump, donated to Joe Biden’s campaign and produced Michelle Obama’s documentary.
America cannot stand with a corrupt, two-tiered justice system.

Information submitted to the Federal Elections Commission indicates Chevigny was a donor to the Joe Biden presidential campaign in 2020.
Chevigny was also credited as one of the producers of Michelle Obama’s 2020 documentary film, Becoming. The film focuses on Michelle Obama’s 2019 book tour that promoted her memoir of the same name. The film was described by its producers as “an intimate documentary looking at her life, hopes and connection with others.”
Chevigny and Smith were married in 2011.

Garland trumpeted his selection of Smith to lead the DOJ’s Trump investigation, calling him a “veteran career prosecutor.” Smith has been granted the authority to “prosecute any federal crimes that may arise from his investigations.”
The Smith appointment specifically listed two criminal probes.
The first investigation is described as “whether any person or entity unlawfully interfered with the transfer of power following the 2020 presidential election or the certification of the Electoral College vote held on or about January 6, 2021.”
Smith’s second approved investigation involves the allegedly classified documents seized by the FBI from President Trump’s Florida Mar-a-Lago residence. Smith is charged with determining if there was any violation of federal law about the maintenance of classified material or “obstruction of justice” for interfering in the investigation prior to Smith’s appointment.
Former Trump spokesman Taylor Budowich tweeted on Monday that he was “just told the wife isn’t only a major donor, but also the producer of the gushing Michelle Obama documentary.”
He added: “No wonder Jack Smith accepted this special assignment. The swamp is hard at work!”
