A wide-ranging poll taken in the aftermath of the unprecedented FBI raid of former President Donald Trump’s south Florida home yielded fascinating results. A whopping 83.3% of Republican respondents said it increased their desire to vote in the fall midterms.
Only 55.2% of Democrats saw it as more motivation to vote in November.
The new poll was conducted by the Convention of States Action and The Trafalgar Group.
The breakdown of the results, which were released Thursday morning, showed a clear sense of deep suspicion over the motivation for the raid. For Republicans, 76.8% believe that “Trump’s political enemies” were behind the action.
A mere 14.6% credit it to the “impartial judicial system.”
In fact, taking into account both political parties as well as independents, nearly 48% of American voters across the spectrum believe there was a political motivation behind unleashing the FBI into Trump’s private residence.
The Justice Department has been remarkably silent about what was otherwise a high profile and unparalleled breach of the former president’s home. Even the New York Times recognized this in a guest column written by former federal prosecutor Ankush Khardori.
In a Thursday op-ed, Khardori noted it would be “wise” for federal officials to release details of what they were searching for. He said the lack of forthrightness is causing understandable “public confusion” over events at the Mar-a-Lago estate.

He called the raid “a law enforcement matter of the utmost seriousness” and said the Justice Department is doing little, if anything, to counter the “overwhelming condemnation” from conservatives.
The mainstream media is working overtime to paint concerned Republicans as a wild-eyed mob of violent conspiracy theorists. As if something the entire nation saw on live television could be dismissed as just business as usual.
The sad truth is, using the immense power of the federal government against conservatives is indeed business as usual in Biden’s America. Republicans know this well, will vote in increasing numbers in response, and the American public deserves honest answers.
