Obama Claimed There Was A Border Crisis When Things Were Much Better

Former President Barack Obama talked about the border crisis in June 2014 when numbers were less than 1/3 of what they are now, making the current border situation almost imaginable.

Sen. Ron Johnson (R-WI) gave an interview on Newsmax and pointed out the shocking difference between illegal immigration under the Obama administration and the situation we face today. In 2014, Obama said there was a “humanitarian crisis” on the border. Then, there were around 2,000 apprehensions of illegal immigrants daily on the U.S.-Mexico border.

Currently, under the Biden administration, the number of illegal immigrant encounters at the southern border has skyrocketed to between 6,000 and 7,000 daily.

“[T]he governors in the southwestern states there are dealing with about 7,000 people per day that they’re encountering, and because of the Biden administration’s open-border policy, processing and dispersing all around this country,” Johnson said.

Vice President Kamala Harris has blatantly lied to the public by claiming that the border is secure. On September 11, Kamala lied while at a press conference claiming, “The border is secure.”

Under President Donald Trump, a border wall was in the process of being built, which was quickly stopped once Biden took office. Instead, the vice president set her sights on Trump and blamed him for the increasing border crisis.

“There are still a lot of problems that we are trying to fix,” but pinned those on “the deterioration that happened over the last four years,” she lied again.

Her solution is to grant citizenship status to the millions of illegals who’ve made their way into the country. She said the answer is “to put into place a law and a plan for a pathway for citizenship for the millions of people who are here and are prepared to do what is legally required to gain citizenship.”

She then blamed Republicans for dragging their feet in supporting legislation granting millions of illegals the right to stay legally in the U.S. “People are playing politics” — i.e., by not passing a “path to citizenship for illegal migrants” law,” Kamala said.

Johnson hit back at the vice president, saying, “Well, the Vice President, the president, and Secretary Mayorkas are as detached from reality as they are from the truth. The fact of the matter is that this is a crisis. Again, 7,000 people — President Obama declared it a crisis — a humanitarian crisis when it was 2,000 people a day. But what they consider a success is processing and dispersing within eight hours. They just got very efficient at processing and dispersing to all points of America, and it’s all okay. Unless they come to Democrat-controlled cities, then it’s a problem again. So, again, the hypocrisy is just jaw-dropping.”

As the border crisis hits critical levels, top Democrats such as Biden and Harris are blatantly fueling the invasion.
