In the run-up to the 2020 presidential election, hundreds of millions of dollars in federal money and private donations flowed to election offices run by state and local governments. At the time, the COVID-19 pandemic had roiled the economy in every state and had caused severe staff shortages to handle the ever-increasing flood of mail-in ballots. Recent reports show that a significant majority of that money flowed to election offices in Democrat-led cities and counties.
Capital Research Center has been tracking the flow of money from one particular source, Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg and his family. The investigation revealed that in nine battleground states, so-called “Zuck Bucks” that went to election offices are attributed with flipping the election to President Joe Biden. The numbers are stark and show why transparency and questioning of results is critical.
Elections in the United States are not free and they are not fair. They never have been and never will be. Candidates spend years and millions of dollars carefully crafting an image of what they want people to believe. The propaganda that is produced drives what voters believe to be the issues when it should be the other way around. This is true for the right just as much as it is for the left.
The 2020 election, however, saw a new shift in the way money is accumulated and spent to drive one particular ideology forward. The end result is that anyone who disagrees with the popular ideology is an outcast. They are called ‘fascists’ and ‘deplorables,’ even by their own friends and family. Threats of violence, and indeed even actual violence, against these people is not only overlooked, it is even celebrated. Retaliation, on the other hand, is written off as a sign that the original aggression was righteous.
It is an ever-more dangerous world for Conservatives in 2024 because the pathways from which ‘dark money’ flowed in 2020 were legitimized by declaring that anyone who wanted to see what was happening behind the curtain is an ‘election denier,’ a term coined specifically to belittle those who do not fall in line. In 2024, dark money pathways are now green-lighted and anyone who believes in election integrity should buckle up for yet another cycle in which doubts and questions of fact will result in death threats and ostracization.
A number of states are in the process of enacting laws that prevent the type of election interference seen in 2020 by eliminating the ability of billionaires to use their wealth to sway elections. Wisconsin is the latest to move forward with such legislation, having introduced a bill on September 27 to ban Zuck Bucks in the state.

The ultimate goal of Liberals is to create a federal election bureaucracy of course under their leadership in which all state, county, and federal elections are controlled. This plan inevitably will lead to even more egregious violations and the founding of newer and more difficult-to-track sources of money that is used to create propaganda and drive voters to think they can only vote in a way that will not anger their friends, family, and co-workers. This newest strategy is sure to dilute political discussion and presents Americans with the slippery slope to the end of the democracy we hold dear.
