Mexican President Thanks Biden For Not Building Border Wall

Mexican President Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador used his platform as host of the 10th North American Leaders’ Summit to thank President Joe Biden for not building a border wall. Obrador also took shots at former President Donald Trump and other Republicans over their immigration policies.

Obrador’s opening remark at the post-summit press conference was filled with gratitude for President Joe Biden for being the first U.S. president who has not constructed even a single meter of wall between the neighboring countries in a very long time.

The Mexican president encouraged Biden to deal with the migration situations affecting millions of Mexicans who work and live in the United States.

He also criticized Gov. Greg Abbott (R-TX) for busing illegal immigrants to sanctuary cities: “This is completely inhuman,” he said. “This should not be done.”

Obrador, who did not attend last year’s Summit of the Americas hosted in Los Angeles, pleaded with Biden to be more considerate, saying, “Do away with this abandonment, this disdain, and this forgetfulness for Latin America and the Caribbean,” Obrador said

The U.S., under Joe Biden, is facing the worst border crisis witnessed in recent times. Biden’s policies have undermined America’s border security and the integrity of the U.S. immigration system at every turn.

His administration’s border policies are creating a growing national security crisis, threatening Americans’ safety across the country.

The Department of Homeland Security reportedly crafted a plan last year to deal with thousands of migrants arriving at the border by flying some to remote cities inside the U.S. for processing. But the plan died after the White House grew hesitant over the complicated logistics required.
