Sen. J.D. Vance (R-OH) highlighted Vice President Kamala Harris’ staggering 92% campaign staff turnover rate as a key reason she is not suited for the presidency. Speaking with Tucker Carlson, Vance argued that Harris’s inability to maintain a stable team is indicative of her broader leadership failures.
“If 92% of your staff doesn’t want to stick around, that tells you all you need to know,” Vance said during the interview. He expressed concerns over how Harris would handle major responsibilities, especially in critical moments like negotiating with foreign leaders during times of conflict. Vance questioned who Harris would even have on her team in such a scenario, given her track record of staff leaving.
The Ohio senator also discussed the difficulties he and President Donald Trump could face in a second Trump administration. One of the biggest challenges will be implementing Trump’s immigration policies, particularly his plans for mass deportations. Vance predicted that critics will attempt to frame the policy as “fascism,” creating a significant roadblock.
Vance also warned about potential economic challenges, particularly with bond markets. He suggested that international investors might spike interest rates as a way to retaliate against Trump’s economic policies aimed at bringing manufacturing back to the U.S. Vance emphasized the need for a strong treasury secretary to manage the economy through these possible disruptions.
Vance and Carlson are scheduled to continue their discussion in Hershey, Pennsylvania, where Carlson’s live tour will bring in prominent conservative voices.
