Chinese Communist Party ‘Threatens’ The US Over Possible Recognition Of Taiwan

A Chinese spokesperson said that the Chinese military would strike back if the US attempted to support or defend Taiwan.

As a historically friendly nation in the region, Taiwan depends on US aid and assistance. However, the Chinese are becoming more assertive because of the Biden administration’s hasty and poorly planned withdrawal from Afghanistan. Biden is showing weakness and incompetence. Recent revelations about Mark Milley and his desire to cozy up to the CCP during the Trump administration indicate that any pushback is unlikely from this Democrat regime.

As the CCP has been planning for war with the United States since the fall of the Soviet Union the book, Unrestricted Warfare Chinese military strategists Qiao Liang and Wang Xiangsui argue that weakness in the American military will eventually lead to defeat for the US. These generals consider economic, military, psychological, and political avenues by investigating the systems that weaker nations may assault to destroy a superpower. They believed that China could debilitate its primary adversary by applying strain to the US financial and political structure.

Chinese state media has reported on military activity in the Taiwan Strait, which may prepare for an invasion of the island nation. Reports that the USA is thinking about allowing Taiwan to change the name of its de facto embassy from the Taipei Economic and Cultural Representative Office in the United States (TECRO) to the Taiwan Representative Office angered the CCP. China currently demands that the US abide by the 1979 agreement signed by Jimmy Carter to allow only “cultural, commercial, and other unofficial relations with the people of Taiwan.”

For example, Lithuania permitted Taiwan to change the name of its office in July of 2021. China pulled back its envoy from Lithuania and slapped the nation with sanctions. China is testing the boundaries of its own ability to use economic warfare to achieve its interests as the United States has done for years. The only real difference is that CCP has indicated that it will eventually control the people in Taiwan as it does in Hong Kong.

China’s only aircraft carrier, the Liaoning, continues to circle the South China Sea. Hawkish members of the Chinese Communist Party guaranteed that an attack was possible if the United States disobeyed their demands. Warning the US with military and financial warfare is not the basis of a favorable foreign relationship. It appears that Biden’s weakness may result in more bloodshed in Asia than Trump’s strength which acted as a deterrent to China and North Korea.

Cautioning the United States that changing the name of the office is tantamount to a declaration of war. China has an Anti-Secession Law, which is meant to prevent Civil War by providing legal authority for the government to squash any resistance to Communism. Using the Global Times newspaper as its mouthpiece, the Chinese Communist Party stated that financial and military destruction would rain down upon the United States if it did not abide by Chinese rule.

The CCP said it has no fear of the “Democratic Progressive Party” correctly calling out that Joe Biden is a sock puppet run by his handlers. The Global Times stated that the fiasco in Afghanistan has discredited the US and put distance between the sole global superpower and her allies.

President Biden’s Asia strategy adviser Kurt Campbell supports the name change. But many in the foreign policy establishment, such as the Council on Foreign Relations, have recommended that the US maintain the status quo.

China claims that Taiwan is part of its territory. Military stalemates continue to surround Taiwan. Beijing has cutting-edge warships and jets which have made incursions into Taiwanese airspace. Regardless of the name used, if America does not safeguard Taiwan, it would undoubtedly fall to a Chinese invasion.
