The FBI conducted a dawn raid with guns drawn Friday morning on the home of a pro-life Catholic author and activist, according to his wife. The action concerned an incident last October at the Planned Parenthood Elizabeth Blackwell Health Center in Philadelphia.
Mark Houck is a radio host and founder of “The King’s Men,” a group that supports men recovering from pornography addiction and works through education and healing to build character.
The sidewalk counselor now faces up to 11 years in prison for allegedly shoving a man to the ground outside an abortion clinic. The situation unfolded on Oct. 13, 2021, when an abortion clinic volunteer named Bruce Love reportedly got up close to Houck’s oldest son, who was then 12.
Houck’s wife Ryan-Marie said Love used abusive and inappropriate language at the child, who was reportedly not on the property of Planned Parenthood. That was when the elder Houck stepped in and an altercation ensued.
Members of the Houck family regularly drove two hours on Wednesdays for a sidewalk ministry at the site in Philadelphia. Mrs. Houck said that for several weeks, one particular pro-abortion worker used “crude and disgusting” language towards the 12-year-old.

Houck allegedly pushed Love to the ground twice. The 72-year-old volunteer escort was reportedly uninjured, though the Department of Justice (DOJ) claimed that he required medical attention.
Police were called to the scene but no charges were filed due to “lack of evidence” of an assault. The pro-abortion volunteer attempted to sue Houck but the case was thrown out of court this summer. At some point, the DOJ picked it back up.
At about 7:05 a.m. Friday, 15 government vehicles with 25-30 agents arrived at Houck’s rural residence. With seven children present, Houck was arrested after agents entered the home with guns drawn.
Ryan-Marie said large rifles were pointed everywhere and their kids were screaming. She described it as “all just very scary and traumatic.” Houck was charged with violation of the Freedom of Access to Clinic Entrances (FACE) Act.
One glaring example after another of the politicization of Biden’s Department of Justice keeps appearing. Charging a pro-life activist with a federal crime for a case as minor as this is just the latest on the list.
