Bad to Worse For Beto O’Rourke

Many Americans are at least vaguely familiar with Texas Democrat Robert Francis “Beto” O’Rourke.

Back in 2018, O’Rourke ran to represent Texas in the United States Senate; yet, he was defeated handily by Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX). During the 2020 presidential election, O’Rourke ran for the Democratic nomination; although, he was beaten by current President Joe Biden.

O’Rourke’s back-to-back track record of losing elections apparently hasn’t taught him anything. The Texas Democrat is now running for the governorship in his state and that’s not going so well for him either.

Meanwhile, a new prediction from a left-wing organization appears to further show that O’Rourke won’t ever be sitting in the Texas governor’s mansion, according to Twitchy.

Bad News For O’Rourke’s Plans to Be Governor

On Saturday, Texas Democrats came out and openly claimed that O’Rourke is going to become “the next governor of Texas.” However, the reality in the Lone Star State appears to tell a different story.

For one thing, Governor Greg Abbott (R-TX) holds a war chest that is many times larger than O’Rourke’s. Secondly, Abbott is leading O’Rourke in literally every Texas poll; his lead amongst Independent voters is especially notable as well.

This wouldn’t be the Texas Democrats’ first time making a wrong projection about election outcomes for O’Rourke. Back in 2018, Texas Democrats said O’Rourke would be “[their] next Texas senator}, yet the victory of Cruz proved otherwise.

Texas Democrats also threw their weight behind O’Rourke during the 2020 Democratic primary election; yet, Biden wound up getting the nomination.

At the end of the day, Texas Democrats have a pattern of back-to-back inaccuracies in making their predictions. It would be remiss not to point this out and what it means for O’Rourke’s future in yet another election.

More Strikes Against O’Rourke

In the time that Beto O’Rourke’s been running his campaign for Texas governor, his policies and values have been at odds with those of most Texas’ voters.

For starters, O’Rourke took a lot of heat when he threw his support behind childhood transgenderism. As many Americans have pointed out, this may get the Texas Democrat brownie points from the woke left, but it won’t persuade the good men and women of the Lone Star State to vote for him.

That’s not all, though. O’Rourke has openly talked about repealing constitutional carry if he gets into the governor’s mansion. This won’t sit well with Texans, either.

Then, again, O’Rourke is the same individual who shouted during a 2020 presidential primary debate, “Hell yes, we’re gonna take your [guns].”

The Texas Democrat should be preparing himself now for yet another defeat in an election.
