The Democrat party is losing. They’re down in flames and they’re only making things worse. They’ve started copying each other’s antics and it might not even be on purpose.
President Joe Biden’s whisper has caused some concern about his mental capability along with his other antics that have shown symptoms of dementia.
Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) has now adopted this style when she responds to Instagram questions. Not only was it childish, but it was also kind of creepy — hopefully, she doesn’t start sniffing children next.
AOC was asked, “How do you respond when people accuse you of being a “socialist”?”
“Let me tell you a secret. Most people don’t really know what capitalism is. Most people don’t even know what socialism is. But most people are not capitalists, because they don’t have capitalist money. They’re not billionaires,” AOC whispered.
Unless definitions have changed, socialism still means “a political and economic theory of social organization which advocates that the means of production, distribution and exchange should be owned or regulated by the community as a whole.”
That means that ownership of anything goes out the window. Elected leaders will control everything, and the dream of the left will be fulfilled.
AOC continued, “…the label doesn’t matter as much as talking about policies. That’s easier to understand. Do you think people should die because they can’t afford insulin? Do you think that fossil fuel CEOs should decide that the planet gets set on fire? Me neither.”
A few things to break down there. The pharmaceutical industry and hospitals are raising drug prices and can be stopped. The same as rent prices and price gauging can be controlled, the pharmaceutical industry is no different. According to KHN, “Inpatient drug spending increased by 23.4 percent annually from 2013 to 2015, compared with 9.9 percent annual increases on retail drug spending during the same period, according to a new report by National Opinion Research Center.” Socialism doesn’t have to be enacted in order to control these price hikes.
AOC also doesn’t seem to understand that oil and coal are necessary for survival. The economy doesn’t run on rainbows and unicorns. If a major switch from oil, gas and coal were to happen, Americans would be in a disastrous situation. Not only would it stop them from going to work and making a living, but they would be unable to heat their homes.
Instead of making small changes and accepting that the United States runs on capitalistic integrity, AOC and others would like to radically change the system we operate under and replace it with an authoritarian government that controls everything about your life.
